    Kaspersky and XRumer

I have startet today a Test with Kasperskys 2011 Safe Run Mode (Win XP with SP3)
I startet XRumer 7 Beta 5 in this Mode to see how its works, the Result ist: He works perfect.
He runs faster and the CPU goes not over 7% (without the Safe Run Mode between 10-70%) RAM 140 MB.
He makes Profiles and receive the E-Mails without Problems. No Troubles - he works 100%.

My Question: Can someone test it, too? I am surprised about this.

Kaspersky Safe Mode is a mode where programs are run on Isolated environments and are unable to make any changes to the actual system. Really useful if you want to test if a file is malicious, you run it in safe mode and see what the file will try and do without any problems, as Kaspersky fools the application into thinking its free to run without restrictions.

The problem is that when you run a program in safe mode either in Kaspersky or any other tools, there might be problems as the files might actually try and run some code that is needed for proper execution and Kaspersky might block that.
For that reason, I dont think using xrumer on that mode is a good thing, after all xrumer is not a virus and you have no real reason to run it on safe mode. As for the low cpu/ram usage on safe mode, it is because as I said earlier, some parts of the code that xrumer runs, are not used and the cpu/ram usage is much lower. But you dont know when it might stop working or if it works as it should. Personally I dont use it on safe modes as there is no problem about the safety of the application.

    Anyone else have any experience?

Yes, 100% agree. I have think the same. It was only a Test and now it runs 6 Hours perfect, better than before.
