Lightbulb Tutorial: Harvesting Backlinks From Yahoo Site Explorer & Brief Blog Commenting Tut

Alright everyone im going to be working on some exclusive tutorials for theseobay but before that i may as well add some that i have previously done. These are coming from my blog so the videos are pretty branded but i dont really keep up with that blog anymore as i probably should.

This tutorial is going to be on how even a complete newbie to the IM world can use the free yahoo site explorer to their advantage. The possabilities are endless for its uses.

This tutorial is on how you can utilize Yahoo Site Explorer to harvest links for your back link building campaign. Every single website on the internet has back links that point to that specific page and luckily for us, there is no way to hide this information. You can literally harvest thousands of links from your competitors for your campaigns.

The step by step process outlined in the video above is as follows:

    1. Navigate to Yahoo

    2. In the search box type in:

    Code:
    site
    3. In a separate tab/window search for either your keyword term or any keyword and copy the URL from one of the sites on the first page (i usually go a little down the first page)

    4. Put the URL on the end of the site: in yahoo, for example:

    Code:
    site:http//www.nicholasrgardner.com
    5. This is going to pull up site explorer?s analysis of the link you provided, including all pages indexed by Yahoo and their backlinks.

    6. Ensure you check the option to exclude all links from this domain, this ensures that the sites pages will not be mixed in with the backlinks.

    7. Find a blog from the list, when the site loads scroll down to the comments section at the bottom.

    8. For your name part of the comment form, ensure that you fill it in with the keyword that you want to rank for.

    9. For your email fill in either an email you use for spam or make something up.

    10. For website, fill in the web address that you want your keyword to go to.

    11. Post and make sure you did it right.

BAM! There you go, just one backlink on your journey to many. This type of backlink may not give you the most juice but it is still necessary to give your site an organic feel in Google?s eyes.
