Thread: Website hacked, need some help fixing it.

It's been a while TSB

Well as the title says, one of my sites was 'hacked'. Well, it was only the homepage that got switched out, but it's super annoying since I'm probably the worst programmer here lol.

If anyone is willing to help me out with my problem I can give you some cash or some free services from some of my websites.

They switched out the homepage and added a ton of pointless folders with index files in it.

I think we got it all finished up and working properly now

Did you have a back up of your site? If not, check your Control Panel to see if you might have scheduled or activated a site backup when you initially installed your Wordpress. My site was also hacked a while ago but luckily I had my backups via Softaculous.

I also found that some hosting providers (especially the budget ones) are more vulnerable to malicious attacks. Perhaps because they don't have adequate network security measures. BlueVM is one of my not-so-good experience in this case.
