Xrumer won't complete VB registration when email activation is required

I set up my own VB forum to test Xrumer on. When no email verification is needed it manages to register a user on that forum. But when I change the board settings so that the user must activate his account the process is not completed.

The forum url remains under the "Activaiton required" tab. The Activation email in the user's Hotmail account is never accessed.

I have that Hotmail account login details in the project settings. I also entered them into xpop.txt along with:

    [HOST]
    pop3.live.com

    [PORT]
    995

The "Profile activation via email" in Xrumer is set to automatic.

am I doing something wrong ?

Last time I tried hotmail, email activation always failed. I don't think it works well, unless they fixed it. Try AOL which allows the most pop downloads compared to other free email providers.

The best solution = buy a 1.99 cheap domain name, find a host that allows catchalls, set one up, use it. Rinse and repeat once a month.

Thanks for the reply guys. I tried AOL mail, no luck. I will try Mrlean's solution.
