@Abgar: Even with 2-3 footprints you can scrape 90%+ of the forums out there. No need for huge lists of footprints, use the one you got already in TSB and check the results for yourself. I personally scrape with a list that has 6 footprints in it. Not 100s of footprints, only 6! And I get most of the forums, if not all, that are out there.

    p.s.

What you should always look after though, is sieve filter url footprints. The more unique and good ones you have the better the results will be.

I usually make my own footprints, and then scrape with it and I use Scrapebox rather then hrefer, because I have option with scrapebox to see which keywords did I scrape successfully and which I didn't (export all not completed keywords). So I just export those not completed and scrape again, when I'm using private proxies then this is not that big of the deal but when using public this is very big of the deal.

As kensai already mention I don't use a huge list of footprint but rather I concentrate on extracting as much links posible, since you only can get 1000 links from one keywords (so you need to work around this). I do that with merging function, and I merge my common list of random words, I compile myself (actually I googled "most common words English"), I have 500 and 100 most common words in English, you can use as well German, France or whatever most common words.

This can be modified and I do this a lot to scrape with all TLD I have all, but you can use most common ones site:.tld basically. I included both file I talk about in this msg.

I just read my own post above and it look confusing, I wish you luck with deciphering, hopefully you'll make it and if you do consider that your first step not buying links list again ..

Now how in the hell are you guys scraping 90% of the forums with only 2-3 footprints?

    phpBB
    SMF
    VB
    IPB
    YaBB

Are a few of the main default forums... they should each have their own footprints. ...
You've mustered up 2-3 footprints that cover all of those platforms? Not to mention versions and variations?

I personally have 1-3 footprints for each platform that will find profiles and about 2-6 for each platform that will find other pages. To each his own, just not sure how else I could assure myself I wasn't missing all kinds of shit as many footprints are drastically different per platform. It also depends on how your using XR too I guess...
